Annotation for Airheads Soundtrack
From: me@ram.org
This is a most excellent compilation of (some previously unreleased
songs) by the groups like Primus (Bastardizing Jellikit; sounding as
quirky as ever), White Zombie (Feed the Gods), 4 Non Blondes (covering
Van Halen's I'm the One), glam rockers (and NY Dolls impersonators) D
Generation, Ramones (We Want the Airwaves), Prong (Inheritance), and
Lemmy and Co., Motorhead, growl with Ice-T and Whitfield Crane (Born
to Raise Hell).

Airheads Original Soundtrack Album
I finally buckled down and bought the "Airheads" Soundtrack which
features "Bastardizing Jellikit". The CD store from which I bought it
doesn't have a listening booth...and I wish it did.
This version is truly bastardized, though not in a good way. Les
drives a slow funk beat in the background while Ler screeches on his
guitar. I couldn't really hear the drums (I only listened to this
once so far). For an intuitive feel of what it sounds like, think of
Sausage's "Toys 1988" versus "Toys Go Winding Down". Or better yet,
"Bastardizing Jellikit" sounds sorta like "Sinister Exagerrator" on
_Misc Debris_. Now if you're into that sort of thing, more power to
you. But one of the things I love most about "Jellikit" is its speed
and simplicity. Ah well, to each his own.
