The latest album by Fish is a classic: Haunting progressive rock driven by some powerful guitar riffing and solid organ work. The solo material by the former-lead singer of Marillion has always interested me for the subtle complexity of the music and the dynamic between the vocals and the instruments. Raingods with Zippos definitely does not disappoint in this regard. Catchy hooks permeate the release and each song is extremely well-crafted. Highlights of the album are Tumbledown, Mission Statement, Incomplete, Faithhealer, and Digging Deep. One of the best albums I've heard this year, and one that grows on you the more you listen to it without tiring you out.
