This is their breakthrough album. It's a concept album about this dude in the future who leads a revolution through music.
One of their better albums; it has three of their better tunes---Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, and Limelight.
This is one of their live albums---includes classics such as Subdivisions (one of my favourite Rush tunes from one of my favourite Rush albums, Signals), Manhattan Project, etc., live!
This is their "greatest hits" album. I got this in preparation for their concert (instead of pulling out the tunes one by one from previous CDs). It contains cool hits such as The Trees, Subdivisions (my favourite Rush tune), Tom Sawyer, The Temples of Syrinx, Working Man, etc.
The Trees --- Rush There is unrest in the forest, There is trouble in the forest, there is trouble with the trees. and the creatures have all fled. For the maples want more sunlight As the maples scream "oppression!" and the oaks ignore their pleas. and the oaks just shake their heads. The trouble with the maples (and So the maples formed a union they're quite convinced the're right); and demanded equal rights. they say the oaks are just too lofty "These oaks are just too greedy; and they grab up all the light. we will make them give us light." But the oaks can't help their feelings Now there's no more oak oppression ff they like the way they're made. for they passed a noble law. And they wonder why the maples And the trees are all kept equal can't be happy in their shade. by hatchet, axe, and saw.
If you have Chronicles, you have a lot of Rush's good stuff before Roll the Bones. This is quite a decent album, though not as good as their older stuff.
