This is haunting music that is beautifully crafted and sensitively expressed. The music is minimalistic and is driven by great acoustic guitar work (courtesy of Chuck Perrin, the main architect of this project) and a bass line that doesn't exactly stay in the background. The lyrics are deep and interesting. The CD packaging (which makes it appear like a SP record) is pretty nifty, as is the philosophising in the liner notes. The album is yet another testament to the thousands of coffee house musicians who make great music but the vast majority of world will never hear. And it is the world's loss.
