Ton Dru

• 1938 - born in Na Chu.
• 1945 - became a monk at age seven.
• 1953 - started learning Thangka painting at age fifteen.
• 1962 - went to the Potala Palace at age 24.
• 1969 - learnt Buddhism from the old prayer books only (from 1962).
• 2001 - painting Thangkas and meditating.
